Julia Pugliese, MPH

Julia Pugliese is a Graduate Research Assistant and PhD student in the Graduate Program in Life Sciences, Epidemiology and Human Genetics at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She holds nearly 20 years of experience in oncology clinical research in the setting of HIV, and extensive experience with clinical data collection, clinical protocol and correlative research design, trial management, and data analysis for program evaluation for academic and government partners. Her research interests include maternal and fetal health, and intersect with the MDMOM program in the areas of program evaluation, implementation science, and leveraging large-scale data resources for observational research. As Graduate Research Assistant, she supports Dr. Wolfson with data analysis and reporting for the Severe Maternal Morbidity Surveillance and Review, and Dr. Creanga with research design in the area of management of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. She obtained her master's degree in public health from Johns Hopkins University.
