In this workshop, participants will learn the scope of practice of community doulas and the evidence supporting their contribution to reductions in maternal mortality as well as challenges and misconceptions of doula care, highlighting examples in urban and rural settings in Maryland. Participants will learn practical ways to integrate community-based doula services into their maternal and child health programs.
