Carrie Wolfson, PhD, MPA
Assistant Professor – University of Maryland School of Medicine

Dr. Wolfson is a perinatal epidemiologist and demographer whose research focuses on maternal health disparities and adverse pregnancy outcomes. In her work with MDMOM, she leads Severe Maternal Morbidity Surveillance and Review, a statewide, legislatively mandated program to identify factors associated with preventable severe maternal morbidity in Maryland. Dr. Wolfson completed her PhD at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and received her Master’s in Public Administration from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
